Our privacy promise
Once is about your children, so it’s built to keep their details close. Here’s what that means, without the legal language.
No ads, no tracking, nothing sold.
Once is paid for by subscriptions. Nothing about your family is used to advertise to you, profiled, or sold. The app carries no third-party analytics at all, and this website sets no cookies.
We count how Once is used, on our own server.
Which screens are opened, how long stories are read, when a plan is chosen — so we can make Once better. Never names, never anything you type, never story text. You can turn it off in the app under Settings › Your family’s data, and the website honours your browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
The website, and only the website, also uses Google Analytics.
Set up to store nothing on your device and with Google’s advertising features off, so no cookies are set and nothing is used to advertise to you. Shared story links and gift codes are never sent to Google. The app has no third-party analytics in it.
Your details write your stories, and only after you agree.
Your children’s names and ages, and the people and places in Your World, are sent to the AI service that writes each story. Once asks your permission before anything is sent, and you can change your mind in Settings.
Stories stay in your family.
Your stories are seen by the grown-ups in your family and no one else — unless you share one.
Shared links are private and temporary.
A shared story gets a link that can’t be guessed and isn’t listed in search engines. It stops working after 30 days, or the moment you turn it off. A text message’s preview shows the story’s title and picture.
Stories are gentle by design.
Every story is written for your child’s age and checked before you see it. You can list anything to keep out of bedtime, and report a story from inside it.
You can take it all back.
Delete a story, remove anyone from Your World, or delete your account and everything in it, from inside the app.
